I picked it up because it looked and played nice but had not heard of a Fender Zone bass. So I just discovered this forum and thought bass players here may know about this bass. I had found very little information on line.

I picked this bass up about a year ago for $650.00

The control cavity: All I can say is Holy Smokes!

Here is a picture of the bass: Will have to take the control cover off and take a look and maybe post some pictures as well. I like the sound and playability of this bass she looks good to :-)

David Thanks for the information it is the most to date. It is to bad that the body was modified for the Badass bridge. She still sounds and plays nice:-) Thanks again

Thanks everyone for responding to the thread. Whatever she is I like it! Maybe some former Kramer maker will see her and let me know.

Just saw the new post. The guy said that he had the Badass bridge installed later because all the other players had them. Bad thing was the shop had to router out part of the body to get the action lower. Sad thing!

It looks like a 6000G body style if you check out my picture. I do have the receipt the guy sent with it from Guitar Center in Chicago.

I have a late 70's early 80's Kramer bass that I picked up from the original owner a few years ago. He informed me that he purchased it new for $1049.00 in 81 and had a new Badass bridge installed. The receipt names the bass as a DMZ624 and I have looked all over for information on this Kramer...
