    I really want a maple on maple for my build but this is a good price. What year is this? The Precision Bass logo seems to be fairly modern. I was looking at a BNIB MIA Corona, CA 2009 Jazz at Guitar Center and the finish on the neck was horrid. I was quite disappointed when I seen this.

    Can I make my Yamaha RBX170 sound like a Music Man?

    I'm wondering if modding my bass to install a Music Man pickup will get me that Music Man sound. I know a guy that will route the body for me. Also what value pots does music man use for their volume and tone pots? 250k? 500k? 1M?

    Will D'Addario ECB82 strings fit my Yamaha RBX170? I'm looking to try out a set of flatwounds and the ECB82's are the medium gauge that I like best and the price is decent. How much of a different sound should I expect switching from my roundwounds to flatwounds? I hear that flatwounds...

    This is the best bass amp I've used. I bought mine for $40, the guy thought it had bad input jacks. turns out it needed 4 resistors and 1 power transistor. cost me $5 to fix. :D

    Yamaha RBX170 Owners

    I have the red RBX170. Picked it up for $130. It's completely stock... for now. I can't find anything thing about it that I don't like. The pickups have the perfect tone played thru both my 70s Univox and my SWR WorkingMan's 160.
