I bought last week a fender p bass in okoume wood. Just stunning.

The epi case will fit perfectly of course it is longer than neede. but the body fits like aa glove.

I liked this bass, but i was not sold on the fact that it did not have a tone pot. I bought the bass and added one. Know it is everything i want. if you find this logical i changed the knobs to a jazz type complimenting the jazz neck. It looks very nice to me. I have more control of the sound.

A friend of mine had similar problem. I traced it back to the pickups. The copper wraps ( the winding) was loose still touching but shorting out. Use a magnifying glass. Good luck. I ended up buying new pickups.

Gary, Thank you very much for your reply. I concur very unique detail, but the red or black basses don't seem to have that. But you are right great sounding and looking bass.

i bought this bass from ams the set up was excellent for my taste very close to the fret board with no buzzing. the neck is chunky but feels very solid the tuners are very cool and keep this bass in tune very well. the nut work is very well done along with the frets the edges are well...
