Resurrecting this club with my #1 2008 FSR Jazz Bass (nitro) and #2 2014 American Standard P (thin poly). Both were bought used recently and pretty well taken care of. The jazz bass has been a case queen so it’s interesting to see the poly p yellow more throughout the years.

Looking for options to follow up on BassBuzz’s beginner class. I enjoy something more structured. Any members here still active using Damien’s resource and are materials on the site continuing to be updated?

Decided to put a clear pickguard on my v1 swamp ash. I love how sire doesn’t have excess routes under the pickguard like some other brands. An Ash body is too good looking to hide!

Resurrecting this thread again. I recently picked one up from a friend in NOS condition with the original G&G box. Pics to come soon! Looking forward to reading this thread in detail to get smart on this. I may switch out the BA bridge soon for a more standard bridge - just not a big fan of BA...

Question for those that are deep in this. Are these etudes geared towards 4 string, or 5/6?

Those indeed look chrome, but they arent available anywhere online for some reason. I wonder if they are being phased out.

I have been tempted by the 5 string but am worried about the neck dive given the lightweight body and heavier neck. Any of you guys have experience with the okume body 5s?

Other than the neck pickup update to the z7 and new colors across the different models, are there any upgrades to the bass model line that we know of at this time? Missed the namm news and am just catching up now
