It's far from the worst bass I've seen. Basically everything you mention but the B string is cosmetic anyway, and it's hard to get a tight sounding B on a $1000 bass, let alone a $400 chinese one. The pickups do look a bit dodgy though, but how do they sound? How's the action? So far I haven't...

My Warwick Fortress One wenge/wenge from '94. I thought that Warwick wasn't for me, but decided to get a German made one as a collectors piece. Turns out, it plays like a dream and has restored my Warwick love. My more recent Corvette $$ 5 isn't in the same league.

My Squier VM is insanely light, which is why I'm going to the trouble of modding it with a new neck and pickups, it's a really nice weight and it's in my favourite Fender colour (Candy Apple Red) which is why I got it.

I just bought a 1994 Warwick Fortress One. Wenge/Wenge neck, in the old style. I'm pretty excited, I've got a Rockbass Corvette but I don't really like the neck that much. It's a 5-string though, and I have tiny little hands, so that doesn't help.
