    Check out the Mosaic Pro line. Wood necks - not composite. I love mine. Maple neck - super warm tone - easiest playing instrument I own.

    Definitely Zon is a perfect choice. Between 2k and 4K there are plenty of Zon options, including custom builds. Since I got mine nothing else comes out it's case.

    Mannyinnewyork - I have a mid 90's MIJ. I put a John East Pre in it and it is just awesome. They had to do a little bit of routing to fit the preamp but it was so worth doing. Highly recommend it if you like the medium scale J feel.
