Carpal Tunnel Syndrome ( CTS ) Info

Before you decide on surgery check out a vitamin supplement called P5P for nerve endings, it helped me , not a cure but helped the pain enough for me that I won’t be doing surgery

Should I learn on a 4 or 5 string bass?

Go with the neck that feels best, and as long as it’s early in the learning process definitely go with the 5 string

If you had a G&L L-2500 and 600$ to spend on a new bass...

I just added a Kala U bass fretless to my L2500 that has TI flats, hooked the U bass up to my Mesa D800 Subway 12” and Subway 15”. Had the bass boost on. Come close to blowing the windows out of the room! Kala U Bass is a fun instrument to have! I love them both

    super low freq

No one will hear it, below 20hertz you might feel it but won’t hear it. The speaker will just be breathing hard with a sound we can’t hear so why do you want to go there?

Very new, and upset. Please help if you can.

Slow down, you move too fast. This process is not going to happen quick, not in 2 weeks or 2 months. It could take 2 years before you are satisfied with your bass playing. One thing I think is that you will be happy with your progress through the learning process. Be patient and have fun with it!

Very new, and upset. Please help if you can.

Some people can wiggle their ears, shape their tongue in a roll, do back air flips, I can go on and on. I can do a tongue roll and no one taught me. I don't think I could do a back air flip no matter how good the instructer is. My point is not everyone can do everything we all have unique things...

Very new, and upset. Please help if you can.

The learning process takes time, a long time, just be patient and practice. To keep things interesting learn a few simple songs that you like and practice them

    It's official. I don't play bass anymore :-(

I gave up my instrument when it started to take time from family matters, picked it up again when I retired at age of 66. It's my favorite "hobby" and usually have a session every day with my iTunes. Family issues come first

Maybe you should try a different instructor, you know like a second opinion, the way we deal with doctors
