    Flatwound gauge question

I agree the 760FL's are the right choice. The tension is just right and they're really nicely polished and smooth.

    D'Addario Chromes and Labella Flats

Well I've got a set of 760FS on order from juststrings now. Sounds like the right choice for me over chromes :D

    D'Addario Chromes and Labella Flats

I'm thinking of putting some labella flats on my new P, but I'm used to the 45-100 chromes. I've heard that the 760FS labellas are higher tension than the chromes. Would I notice this difference or should I go with the 760FL which I've heard would be more similar tension to the chromes?

By the description on MF I would assume it is (Neck: Maple, modern C shape, gloss urethane finish) but I wanted to make sure. Thanks! Edit: I just realized that it's called "Gloss...

What album made you want to play the bass?

Anything Paul McCartney but more specifically probably Band On the Run or Wings At The Speed Of Sound.

    Few questions from a beginner

Hi, I'm a drummer that's looking to get into playing bass. I've been looking at the Epiphone LP Special Bass on Muscians friend and I think it's the one I'll be buying. I love the tone from Paul McCartney's Ric 4001 so what would be the most important things that would bring me close to that...
