I'd say 104s - they'll get you to work a bit and are middle of the range (I've played from 95s-115s of other strings), thus giving you a good idea of where to move for your next set of strings

Ok, so I want to order the La Bella 760Fl for my bass and then I see more choices with regard to scale. For my Fender P what scale would I need?

Nevermind, it's a 34 inch scale.

Definitely a solid choice... go with the FLs, you won't regret it. I've tried other flats in 45-100 and 45-105, but neither beat the tension/loudness balance and overall feel of the 43-104 LaBellas.

(No, in spite of my posting history, I honestly don't work for LaBella ... I just love their product. )

I agree the 760FL's are the right choice. The tension is just right and they're really nicely polished and smooth.
