    New 212 build

Had you gone with a mid driver, what would have been different about the build? Wouldn't you need to protect the driver in some way from the pressures generated by the larger 12" drivers?

F150, where Ford takes a 2WD regular cab with the base V6 truck rated at 23mpg by the EPA and puts a picture of a crew cab 4x4 with the top of the line EcoBoost (21 mpg) and can get away with it because in small print the EPA lists and "expected range" for MPG and the very top most of that was...

My best friend is a UPS delivery driver, and another friend drives feeder trucks for them. Another good friend owns the local music store. That package was never packed for individual delivery via any of the carriers. When my music store friend gets his big orders from Dean, schecter, Yamaha...

Don't understand this 'suggestion' from the Ampeg website:

You are assuming the 4-10 cab has the same efficiency as the 1-15, and leaving out the F3 and F10 values. Doubling speaker area increases output by 3db. However, the 15E has sensitivity of 98dB as does the 410HE. 410 HE has a F3(-3dB) of 60hz. Assuming identical power and sensitivity the output...

Don't understand this 'suggestion' from the Ampeg website:

As pointed out in another post, the 15" cab in question has a roll off frequency 10hz lower than the 4-10" in question. So yes, the 15" cab in question will go lower, louder. This also says nothing about whether the sound is boomy or punchy. It might be a great combination that has the boomy...

Oh, I've read lots of those here and in my past work in car audio. Don't mix subs! Don't this, don't that... yet if they are built to work with each other? As long as the cabinets are not causing phasing issues, performance won't suffer. the cabinet design will have more affect on the response...

Don't understand this 'suggestion' from the Ampeg website:

2 cabs with 2 different responses. Many people like 4-10 for punch and definition, others like 15 for fatter bottom, i.e. Boomy. Combine the 2 and best of both?
