What does everyone think of ESP basses. I'm looking at the F series and the AX series.

I have been looking around here at different threads about basses. The basses that were talked about were either really expensive, or the quality of the bass wasn't very good. What type of bass(other than a fender) can i find that is less than $800, doesn't have many problems with it, and sound...
