    G&L Sales?

Certainly! I know I had been waiting a while, even before the sale I had been pondering buying some pickups. I'm glad they finally went on sale. They also have a few bass bridges, too.

    G&L Sales?

Just an FYI, in case anyone is still interested and didn't know, Mighty Mite has been putting up G&L parts online this past week.

    G&L Sales?

Will do. I was thinking about asking them again. Thanks for the suggestion.

    G&L Sales?

Greetings again, just resurrecting this one. Has anyone seen anything like what we were talking about earlier? I have kept an eye on Mightymite and Franklin Guitars, but I haven't seen any G&L stuff pop up for sale. I see the odd bits on reverb, but those are often priced a bit high for anything...

    Need FRFR/PA speaker recommendation

Similarly, I found a used Yamaha DXR15 at GC a while back that has been great. Price was about on par with a new, lower model.

    G&L Sales?

Sounds good. I talked to him as well, a couple of months ago. He had said then that the plan was late January, after NAMM. So a little slipping of the schedule is no biggie. Mostly I wanted to make sure they didn't put it up and it sold out while I wasn't looking haha. Thanks, all!

    G&L Sales?

Hello all, have any of you seen any of the G&L trove go up for sale? From the suggestion in another thread, I spoke with the folks at mighty mite and they said that they bought some quantity of parts and such and would be putting it up after NAMM. I've checked there off and on, but mostly I was...

Which underdog brand of bass impressed you the most after you tried one?

I would say the Tagima TW-66 I played in a local Music Go Round. Not sure what it was about it, but it was more of a P-Bass than any Fender I've ever picked up. It had a perfect woody, but clear sound. Perfect early Geezer Butler sort of sound. I visited it a couple of times, but by the time I...

A question for DR String users

Fat Beams have been my favorite lately. Versatile to me for blues, rock, etc. I've had them on a G&L L-2500 Tribute and a Frankenstein Ric bass. They have some neat sounding midrange overtones to my ear, but can get bright on the top end when needed.

    Small cars bassist

Sadly, I don't have any pictures, but years ago I had a MK3 Jetta that could swallow a double bass, a bass guitar in a case, a bag'o'wires and effects, and a 2x10 GK combo. Seats down, of course, but it all fit with the head of the upright coming out over the center console. Great car, miss that...

    Recent pawn shop finds

A couple of years ago I found a nice blueburst L-2500 tribute in a pawnshop. It had a couple of little nicks and needed s9me work Ina addition to a good cleaning. But when I offered a lower price, I heard the manager say something to the effect of 'give it to him for whatever he wants, just get...

    DR Fat Beams Question

I have a set of 45-125s on a G&L L-2500 Tribute that sound great. They have a nice rich harmonic quality to them. Also, they seem pretty balanced across the set. And the B string is good and tight; not floppy at all.

Anybody bought from a pawn shop?

A lot depends on the shop you go to. I find the local ones around me have better stuff. They’re also less tied to the eBay based pricing that the big chains are. Also, pay attention to how long what you’re looking at has been there. It’s usually on the tag or sticker when it was bought by the...

Weirdest, incongruous headliner/opener shows(but not necessarily bad)

I went to go see The Hu a while back and they had this odd Canadian duo opening for them. Crown Lands was their name. Had a rather 70's Rush, Led Zeppelin sort of vibe going on. It was a drummer and bass/keys player. They were pretty good. I wouldn't have minded seeing a little more from them.
