i ended up deciding to put the orange in my rack mount case to replace the 400+. i still own both however but the orange ended up melding with the music a lot better.

Thanks for all the replies. The cab I'm using is a mesa powerhouse 1000 (4x10 w/ 1x15). The orange sounded a lot fuller but the mesa was much crisper and had more punch.

ya its very light too. i just dont want people thinking im careless with my gear, especially when i take such good care of it:-)

haha it definately will make it easier to accept further dents. i just hope i dont get to many more and as long as the dents dont affect the way it sounds cause right now it sounds sweeeeet.

I just got home from a week long tour with my brand new american standard pbass 2008 and i found a chip near the bottom of the bass. wonder how it happened!

How can i tell if the power cord I have is the right one for my amp? Or is there even a difference between power cables? I was wondering If i can use just any old power cable. thanks!

can cold weather affect the performance of an all tube amp? More specifically affect the loudness of the tubes?

wen i touch the bridge the noise goes away, so i think the bridge is grounded. ill look inside to see if theres problem as well. thanks!

Hey guys I am just wondering if it is normal for a pbass to go from no hum/buzz with the tone knob all the way down and then when the tone knob is turned up to have some hum/buzz? Also with the tone controls turned up and i touch the magnet poles on the pickups this noise increase? By the way...
