I also keep mine at 9:00, and use the volume on my SR400 for the volume control. Anything past 9 seems to almost be too much for that little speaker!

I am actually quite impressed with mine what with it having that little 8 inch speaker. It will rattle the walls a little if I turn it up! Of course now I want more.
