Fender Rumble Club

Anyone got an idea of what (if any) rumble products are round the corner? 200 and 500 heads have disappeared from their site and are also slowly disappearing from retailers as stocks are sold. Same with all their cabs, nothing left. I know we’ve had the 800hd and modelling Rumbles, but something feels imminent and I want a new head ‍♂️

These simple observations of mine are based in the U.K!

Every time I go to do the confused man emoji, it pops up as that male sign ‍♂️

Well, with Summer NAMM being cancelled, maybe we will have to wait for Winter 2021 NAMM or some other announcement from Fender. There are some on the thread who may have some inside info.

The 200 and 500 heads were discontinued some time ago, presumably because of the popularity of the combos made them superfluous. The discontinued 112 cab was also kind of a loose end, as most Rumble 200c and 500c owners opted for either the 115 and 210 cabs, and so these are still available.

I suppose we MIGHT get a modelling head at some point, but I’m not holding my breath. :)

Also, bear in mind that the Fender website is a very poor guide to the availability of products, as what products are shown at any given time will vary from country to country, and products will also disappear and reappear willy-nilly.

Sad but true. Thanks, @JakobT. I could not have said it better. Someone at Fender must know that their website people need help...they are not stepping up.

Fender is pretty tight lipped about future plans. When new products are announced, it's usually a surprise to everyone, even the insiders (though they occasionally get a few days notice). From the US perspective, it appears that the 155, 410 & 210 Rumble cabs are still available.

The current silver grilled Rumbles are now 6½ years old! That is a "fair while" in model time spans, but not necessarily "run its course". There's no obvious call for makeover; no need to mess with success! We do sometimes indulge in fantasies here, about what we'd *like* to see at the next NAMM Show. But, we've never heard even a peep that they're actually being considered by Fender. Of couse, the modeling head is one fantasy that popped up almost as soon as the modeling combos were announced. But, there was once a modeling pedal available, the Fender Mustang Floor, but it apparently didn't sell well enough to last very long.

Where does that emoji come from? I've only ever seen emojis from the TB post editing box work, unless you "Upload a File" of one.

That’s it. TalkBass only handles its own emojis correctly. I had some really weird stuff show up before I figured that out.
The only way I've been able to use the occasional 'foreign' emoji is to copy and paste it. Which is a PITA and usually not worth the trouble.

I’ve been rumbling every night since I brought home the 500. It really is a great combo. I’ve just been trying to dial in the right amount of drive for if I want to us it, but for some reason when I engage the drive it seems like I don’t have the same bottom??? Does this seem right or are my ears playing tricks on me ‍♂️

I have been Rumbling most days recently also but not in the usual way. My R40 with connected "smart" phone has been my outdoor boombox while painting and doing massive yard work on my house for the past two weeks. Works well and quite punchy.

Finally booked a gig (Farmers Market) in October and my R40 will be present. Since it is a 4-hour show and have not had a rehearsal since the first week of March, some rehearsals are in order. Now if I can schedule my trips to VA to work on this house and back to Saratoga Springs, NY with the 2-week quarantine it should be a good show.

See the Rumble Talks about Overdrive on the Rumble Wiki (linked in my signature) for some descriptive info. Bassically, the Level knob controls the blend of clean signal with Overdrive signal, per the Rumble 40-500 manual.

Anderton's still list the Rumble 410, 210 and 115 v3 cabs for sale on their site. As well as the 800HD and all the combos.
