I'm considering a new Squire P-Bass and wonder if you could help me out with: Which one is the lightest and/or best balanced of the agathis and basswood? Are there any substantial differences in tone between the CV and the VM? Or is it just the finish that adds cost to the CV? Thanks.

Never tried Gallien-Kruger, but will do now. The MB2 500 looks nice; anyone tried it with D215XLT (or other Eden cabs)? BTW: The Eden WT550 is too expensive, I'm not a pro.
