I found this post after I realized that I have been searching for a bass that felt like my first bass, the Peavey T-40. Now I know why I liked that neck so much! Apparently I'm one of the strange ones who prefers a flat fretboard. Any modern 4-string basses with flat fretboard?
Is the guitarist from the Cee Lo "I Can't Go for That" performance playing an "SX" guitar??? Look at the headstock at 50 seconds:
I'm sure he could play a Fisher-Price and make it sound right.
September...I get it. September is a MONTH, not a "date".
Since the UK site had a definite date on it, I was wondering if anyone had word on an EXACT date of release in the US.
Couldn't hurt to ask. Tough crowd.
Same here--1978 Peavey T40 was my only bass for 3 years, played live several times per week, sometimes up to SIX HOURS, and I was 5' 10" 145lbs. You get used to it. It really is a versatile bass.
