    Idk how well this fits your criteria but the prs kingfisher is sub 1k through strung through neck double passive humbuckers. I have one in tortoise shell but the new one is blue burst flame which is cool. Idk, check it out i dont see these making many waves

    Oh don't worry I'm actually waiting for a nice single cut 5+ string high end Cort with two truss rods to get released. I'm jumping on THAT with both feet lol May end up with an ibanez premium otherwise, but I def am liking the extended range and those single cuts are just soooo pretty.

    I started with guitar (father plays guitar) but the shape of my finger tips always fought me. I picked up the bass, it jived with how I wanted to play anyway and now I'm hooked.
