    A new lightweight bass?

I have a 34" now and was hoping at least 35" for my next bass but I can probably live with 34" too. Are the Spectorcore basses significantly lighter than a Euro ReBop or Korean Legend...are those basses much better than a Spectorcore?

    A new lightweight bass?

I play sitting and standing at home. So Warwicks are generally heavier? Good to know. I also don't want a small bass as I play 5 string and want a full scale for the B string.

    A new lightweight bass?

Hi TB, I currently play an LTD B205 5 string bass. I really love it but I also find it a bit heavy (and want something new). I only play at home and by myself or along with music (prog metal, jazz, rock), so I really don't need a stage or gig bass that can 'cut through' the mix and all that...

Do I want an MXR M87 Compressor?

"more audible harmonics" is probably the bit I care about.

Do I want an MXR M87 Compressor?

Thanks for the responses guys, all useful. My GAS is either for the Ditto X2 or the MXR M87, so I'll likely go for the ditto.

Do I want an MXR M87 Compressor?

So...I've recently started getting into pedals, but I only play at home by myself (or along to a track playing on my computer). This M87 looks really cool and I don't have a compressor....but...do I need one? From what I have been reading, it sounds like the main use for a compressor is...

Is the new amp I got broken or are they all like this?

Turning the mix all the way to solid state (which I assume means tube amp is not used at all) doesn't change the noise I'm hearing...does that mean it's not the tube preamp? I hope it's not... As long as I don't have the volume at max (which I never would), I can't really hear the noise unless...

Is the new amp I got broken or are they all like this?

Yeah it is only at home, I don't gig. The weird thing is that I turned off the tweeter and the noise I am talking about is mostly coming from the actual 10" speakers. It definitely isn't that bad now that I fixed the secondary gain issue, but I wanted to make sure it was a normal thing...

Is the new amp I got broken or are they all like this?

Hi, I'm new to TB and professional bass equipment in general, and need some help determining if I need to return my amp for a new one. I have been playing on an old Behringer 60w combo forever and decided it was time to upgrade. I bought a used Eden D210XST locally and a mint used Markbass...

    500w amp with a 200w head..

Haha, thanks. Just want to make sure. I know I will be underpowering it if I turned the volume up and would get a bad tone...but is there any 'underpowering' going on if I'm not even cranking the volume past 9'oclock?

    500w amp with a 200w head..

Edit: meant 500w cab. I'm thinking of getting an Eden D210XST 8ohm...it is rated for 500w, but I only intend to play at home standing 5-10ft from the cab. Am I going to have any issues if I buy a head that can't do 500w (such as the GK MB200). If that won't work, I was looking at the Ampeg...

New home amp advice - combo or micro head?

Micro CL is nice, just not sure that it would be great for the low b (or at least, not as good as the Acme Low B2s or the Ashdown 15" combo). Correct me if I'm wrong...

New home amp advice - combo or micro head?

The fact that I bought a zoom b3 is part of why I don't care too much about getting a specific sound out of an amp. In fact something flatter without too much character would be good so I could use the zoom to get the sounds I want. I have room at home, I guess I don't need a micro head, I...

New home amp advice - combo or micro head?

Hi, I really need some advice on what I should buy. I do not gig, I do not jam, I do not play in a band, I do not move my equipment. I play bass at home by myself for fun. However, I still care about sound quality and my Behringer 60w combo is not cutting it anymore. I currently play an...
