    I'm pretty sure Hammett was taught by Satch while he was still in Exodus. He taught all the greats back in the day, Scholnick, Vai, Hammett, just to name a few.

    String cleaners will get ya' through if your short on cash, but I think we all can agree nothing sounds or plays like a brand new set of your favorite strings!

    I'm having the same issue with my A string on my sb-602, didn't notice it as much with roundwound strings but with flatwound it seem to come out.

    My wife bought me a Fender Accessories Slick String Cleaner for christmas and it's the cats ass!!! I use it after every show and rehersal on my Rotosound flatwounds.

    Count me in, I've had Pilot SB-602 since 1991 and it still plays like it did the day I bought it.

    In my opinion Megadeth is the better. Metallica stopped making good albums after Cliff passed.
