I have a fender p neck that has a stripped trussrod nut. any idea what I should expect to pay to have this fixed?

I've always lost money on new basses and made money on used ones. I have a gorgeous 78 Fender american jazz that I paid 500.00 for. Bought it about 10 years ago. You just have to have a little patience when shopping.

I can't imagine why anyone wants to be a bass player in todays bands. Most of what I hear could be played by a 12 year old. If any of you can turn me on to some newer stuff with bass lines like Jamerson, J.P. Jones etc. please tell me.

My 56 Fender P-bass is loud enough with no amplification to practice while watching TV. It almost sounds like an accoustic bass.

Tucking is for weddings, funerals and gays. (not that there's anything wrong with that!) not to mention, as a bass player, your shirttail will cover your belt buckle and prevent scratches.
