the bass is heavy.. Not sure how much it actually weighs though. The jretro is so sweet. It has an individual PU gain preset which is very useful to get the desired balance output from both/individual PUs. Thats how an afternarket preamp shud be, to suit any kinda stock PUs :) The j retro comes...

I was tryn to install my j east retro on my vmj5 and it got me thinking too. But i managed it somehow. Ok, here's is my 2cents analysis. The black wire as u realize, is cming out from the bridge as well. So there's like 3 of it. These black wires, is nt from any PUs, but the cavities. Havta...

I got all my black hardwares from ebay.. But the Most challenging part, would be the bridge. The screw holes spacing is a lil uncommon. At least i think so. Anyways,I just got my j east preamp! Will be installing it soon :)
