Ultimate No-load Ungrounded Blend Pot (Pics!)

Old thread... but this is the dead easiest mod to do to a pot, even disassembling and doing it. The first one I tried took about 10 minutes, disassembling each gang and cutting the traces. The second one took 2 minutes. The top trace for the neck PUP gang was a little tricker, as you can't...

    Rusty Box power supply

Apologies for another thread necro... but saw this. I've got a 30v Rusty on it's way to me currently, and just wanted to enquire about your homebrew 4 output adaptor... was that just 4x 9v wired in series? I'm considering wiring it up as a 27v or similar with 3x 9v.

OBNE Haunt vs Alpha Haunt fuzz

The Haunt is great, massive low end loss though.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors - Haunt Fuzz

I have one. It keeps going on and off the board, as I keep forgetting just how much bottom end loss there is... yes, even with the "Low" switch on... I even tried it at 0% mix, and it still drops all the arse end. Apart from that it's great, but beware. Massive bottom end loss.

'John East Preamp' 'What Am I Losing"

I've got the exact same issue on my 3-knob J-retro. It came like this. Never heard back from John about repairs after he confirmed it was doable. In the end I picked a mid frequency (although not ideal, may have to revisit it) and took the bottom portion out, leaving me space to screw the top...

I need a 135 B better than Warwick Red Label

Warwick Red Steels are some of the best strings I've ever used. I use the 45-135 set on my P bass for drop G and they're stellar. They sound as good as the day I put them on years ago.

    Zoom MS-60B patch ideas!!!!!

On mine it wipes the preset on the pedal as soon as I click on it in ToneLib. Same preset but no amp sim and it works fine.

    Zoom MS-60B patch ideas!!!!!

Also, ToneLib Zoom can backup/swap/edit effects in realtime. Be careful though, any patch with an amp sim breaks when using this software, so skip those patches and do them manually. Downloads | ToneLib

    Zoom MS-60B patch ideas!!!!!

This answers my question about expanding the effects from 4 to 6. I'm doing this tonight on my 60b, as I plan to sidechain this pedal with my HX XL via a loop. Thanks!!!

    Zoom ms-60B Patch idea

Question... I have an MS60b from before my Line6 HX days that has a few bits I would like to sidechain into my HX XL via one of it's loops. I've recently discovered the unofficial Zoom Effect Manager, and am intrigued by it's ability to load non-native firmwares to other MS pedals. My question...

    DIY Stingray 3EQ Preamp

Ok, swapped those C4 & C6 (c2 and 3 on the musician diagram) caps out for 100nf ones. It's like putting a proper exhaust on a worked V8, game changer! Not sure what musicman were thinking, though back in the late 80s when this thing was designed, everyone played in E standard, not drop F or G.

Great tip. I'll try that out tonight. Thanks!

    DIY Stingray 3EQ Preamp

Continuing... C1 (MM diagram) leads into to C12 (MM diagram) 2.2nF? I think is C12 is C5 in the DIY diagram. This then bridges to ground. C4 on the MM diagram equates to C8 (2.2nF?) on the DIY diagram running from the middle pin of VR2 (Treble). I can disregard this cap. C5 (MM diagram) is C9...
