Ok, here is how I solved this problem. No damage and no holes drilled. I took an L bracket and bent it to fit the bass. I drilled a hole for the original strap button mount and a hole for the new button Mount. Painted it black and covered it with the fluffy side if velcro. This works...

Like I said this DiMarzio pickup only has three wires as is shown in the PDFs that slater posted, by the way thanks slater, that is how I have it wired. I guess the answer is another DiMarzio for the bridge.

Already have the fit taken care of. The noisy bridge pickup is the problem. Maybe i will have to replace the bridge pickup with a bridge DiMarzio pickup as well to get the full benefit without the noise. I will look for another used deal for the bridge.

Anyone, Is it possible to change the stock Squire affinity 5 string tuning pegs to the elephant ear style? Not sure there is enough room to do this because of the five in a roll r5 configuration Thanks

I have a wiring question. I had direct wired the pickup to the out put jack. Does anyone know what terminals to solder the output jack back to? I don't remember.

Frank here, So glad I found this forum as it is definitely proven to be a wealth of information! I am retired and live in Ocala Florida. I have a Ceilio 3/4 upright, a Palentino EUB, and a russian homemade EUB. I use an SWR Working Pro 2x10 which has a matching SWR 2x10 cab.
