    Exposed or covered pole pieces? why?

    I have this problem with my SD QP set, the magnets are turning black so i'm thinking seriously on change the original covers (exposed poles) for the other ones.

    Hello there! I'm from Colombia and I got an Ibanez RB700. I loaded the bass with Seymour Duncan QP and even with the stock pickups the bass sounded great (had an has that 80's rock sound)
