Sounded really good to me . His voice is better than ever

I have TI on my 4003s, and I love them very much . I have labella LTF on my p bass , and I don’t really like the feel as much as the TI. I don’t know how to describe it….They are a too slippery , no grip…. Whereas the TI you get a nice grip with your fingers.

I have noticed that sometimes he uses both bridge and neck pickup knobs , even though supposedly only the neck pickup is on …. That leads me to believe that even though we see neck pickup only based on the control panel , in reality both pickups are on … and he may rolls off the bridge pickups...

Although, if you look closely , it doesn’t seem like he is cranking the gain up at all from these close up pics . It’s barely at 10 o clock the gain , and the volume is also barely turned up ???! Any thoughts ?

Ah , got it ! That makes sense. I wonder if he does that in the studio too . Because his Hofner tone is completely different in the studio from live shows. Have you noticed ?

I think what Paul is doing these days , he is cranking up the gain on the amp. I tried to do that yesterday without using overdrive/fuzz pedal … and I m getting closer to what I think it’s his current bass tone live . Crank up the gain and the highs …..
