FS: 1976 Fender Jazz Bass (All Original)

FS $2899. I have a Vintage 1976 Fender Jazz Bass (All Original including Case. The color has aged from cream/white to a nice yellow/butterscotch. It has a Maple Fretboard with aged Block Inlays. The Serial # is on the 3 Bolt-Neck Plate indicating it's a very early 1976 if not 1975. This Bass is...

The color is actually more Blue (Kind of between Sonic & Daphine). The pics make it look like Seafoam Green. The only place I know to get Lakland Pickguards is Jeannie's Pickguards in CA. They don't offer mint white. That's why I was thinking White with the Blue. Or maybe White Parchment if they...

I thought about clear but changed my mind. The film is a good idea, What kind of film wood work good? Heck I may just go with a plain white guard or no guard and let it wear at will. Thank you guys for your opinions.

I have Barts in my 55-94. First time I have used them and they seem very warm. I like a more aggressive sound and can almost get there with my Eden Rig. The Barts are great for the old school sound in my opinion. How do they differ from the New Lakland Pickups and Preamp? I wonder if just...

Thanks Doug. Still wandering about the Pickguard color though. I think White or Vintage White Pearl. Maybe I shouldn't even use one. I do alot of slapping and tend to scratch the body below the G string. I mainly am doing it for protection. Any advice? Pickguard Color? With or Without a Guard...

I will probably get a lighter guard also and just interchange them from time to time.

Thanks for your opinion. I really have never used Black Pickguards in the past. But I thought since the Abalone has some Blue & Grey in it it would look pretty cool. I will probably get a White or Vintage White Pearl also. I will also checkout the mint white. Where can I find a pic of that color?

Thanks so much. I was needing some opinions on the Pickguard. I just put that one on which is Black Abalone. It has some blue & grey in it that looks cool. I was going to go with White or Vintage White Pearl. What do you think? I do alot of slapping and the Nitro scratches pretty easily, that's...

Thanks so much. I talked with ED and he told me he built 2 of these Basses. One Daphine Blue (the one I have) and one Seafoam Green. It's definitely unique. The Nitro finish is a nice touch. I put the Black Abalone PG on it which has some blue & grey in it that looks cool. Do you think a White...

I have a very special Lakland 55-94 that was built by Ed Reynolds whom from what I have read is one of the best Luthier's in the business and one of Lakland's top consultant's. It is signed and dated 2006 by him on the inside backplate of the control cavity. Alder Body with Matching Headstock...
