Weird....my story is similar, a fellow bassist friend of mine passed away in 2000...his brother held on to his bass which is an odyssey B100, it remained in its case since 2000 until today. He rang me and asked if I cold call up to see him, on my arrval he gave...yes gave me the bass and said...

YEP, That' an odyssey no doubt, I'm in Northern Ireland and own an odyssey B100...it' dated 1979, outstanding basservice.

I have just got my hands on an odyssey B100, it belonged to a friend who died in 2000, bass was kept by his brother in its case in a cupboard from 2000 until today when he called me up to his house and said my brother would have wanted you to have this, he gave me it and I had only ever dreamt...

In my opinion. ..and I speak from owning my fair share of fenders....get the sire....you will not regret it. My Sire V7 is now my workhorse
