WHAT IS IT??? - Odyssey Bass

Geddy Lee used to use one on the song Xanadu in the late 70's. It can be seen in the Exit....Stage Left video. He did actually use the guitar part of it on that song.

Well, the day has come that I picked up the double neck from the POffice. I carefully unrapped it and it came in it's original case. As I scanned the guitar out of the case I had the 'Geddy Lee' thing racing around inside my head. Feeling rather silly, I unscrewed the access plate on the backside of the guitar and found no clues.
I then noticed stamped on the back of the bass headstock the serial number. Quite intersting....11968 is what was there. Now, for arguments sake.... let's assume that there really were only 5 of these made. Would this be #1 pf 5 made in 1968?????? HHHHMmmmmm.
Then I saw it. On the back headstock of the guitar UNDER THE VARNISH..........there seems to be a very small lettering that is extremely hard to read. The more I stared at it, the more it looked like "G LEE"....EEEEKKKKkkkkk. Now I am freakin'. I am afraid to go back and look again.
I want to take pics of it for you all to see but am waiting on help reducing the pic size as my camera has too many pixels.

COULD I REALLY HAVE STUMBLED UPON THE GEDDY LEE XANADU BASS/GUITAR???????

Hey, it's a mirror image. Mine is just the opposite setup.......bass on top, etc.
I will try to upload a pic. Can't say the G LEE thing ever panned out, it seems to be a strange mark under the varnish. Still like the bass though.

I've wanted to get a double neck for a while they are so cool.... SO if you don't mind my asking how much did you pay..? And have you decided on a nmae yet..? lol 9I always want to know the name)

I picked mine up on ebay for $500, mainly because it was a terrible picture and no one wanted to take a chance.
I think I will name it 'G LEE' because of the wierd flaw in the grains on the back of the headstock.
To be honest, I don't play it much.........wanted to do an ELP tribute but can't find a decent organ/moog player who is interested. I think pianists are worse than drummers.

I'd love to but sadly, I'm really low on money right now,... And I live in canada so that bass for me would be quite expensive plus shipping and handling,.. I wish though... lol

The OP hasn't been here in almost 4 years, don't know if he ever figured it out or not.
