I owned a 6 string Modulus and ended up parting with it. Only bass I regret losing! I've only tried a handful of Citrus basses and they never clicked with me. Can't you test them side by side?

No the bass guitar has not been plugged in at all except when I have been playing through an amp, which is not very often. (I practice acoustically a lot in the early morning and late night.) It is definitely draining the battery all the time.
