How's the low end of the pn410 compared to the svt410? Clear sounding with no mud would be great for me. I'm sure it would sound great with the grit from the svt-cl

Also, what are the major sound differences in the Ampeg PN-410HLF and the SVT 410hlf? I understand that the SVT was created to sound great with the SVT-Cl but I'm wondering how the PN will sound

you can find low end SWR cabs pretty cheap and they sound good for the cost. They can distort if pushed too hard though.

Also, check out the Hartke vx410. I own that cab and it served me well back in the day before upgrading to an Ampeg. It's considerably lighter than the workingman but still gives you a good punch. You can get them in the $200 range.

I have a couple SWR Workingman 410's and they sound pretty good for the price. Be careful running a 4ohm head through an 8ohm cabinet though. It can damage your head as well as the speakers. As long as you're running through a solid state head then it shouldn't have the same negative affects...
