Yup. Been there. Thankfully most worship genre songs can be pulled of without a drummer but I feel for you. A good drummer is sorely missed when they cant make it.

Honestly its a tricky thing to start recognizing chord changes by ear. I still miss them when they arent natural to the key signiture. Ive been playing, actively listening to music for almost two decades now; just to say be patient with it. Start with songs you know the intervals to already...

I have 'schaller' tuners. But have had them fail often because they are zinc. Nice light metal; not so resiliant. So I have been wondering the same thing. My bass is of the mid 90's vintage.

My tuners are unmarked as well but they are schallers, or at least that was what I was told by the store I ordered them through, the replacements I got were also unmarked but matched the originals. Also to note at that point the HZ pickups were also unmarked, which imho isn't a bad thing...

Well, sad to say I'm not currently with a band. Moved away the band I was playing with which was contemp worship (Hillsong United feel). I like to play along with stuff atm. I love practicing with DMB so Stefan Lessard's tone and style, not that I'm at that level atm.

Looking for advice from other Spector officianados. I have a NS 95 and was thinking of replacing the existing circuit for a tone pump. Good idea or is it a similar sound to what I have? I was thinking of getting a euro 5 or 6, but budget is a huge issue right now so $99 on the tone pump...

I think I might have to try that. I'm still playing a NS 95 and always wanted more of a 35" scale B sound. So long as I don't over tension the already stressed stress rod. :p

I might be wrong but I'm thinking that it may have to go to the other pickup volume not the tone. The middle of that bottom one (which would be treble tone adjust) does already have a purple one coming off of it already. I wish there was a clear break in the solder showing a missing connection...
