Yessir! The ones I bought for my 605 dropped in with no mods. Check the Bart website and measure against the prints they show. On my 305 I had to sharpen the corners on the pockets, but they are a different size than the 605. I swapped the preamp at the same time on both basses, so I can't say...

Also, that 505 is a mahogany body, if my memory is correct, and it has a darker tone than the 605, which is Alder. You need a little brighter voicing with that body, unless you're going for a dark tone. Personally I like a bright tone.

I went with the CB soaps, and they are awesome! I love Barts. I think I have put them in every bass I've owned except my Warwick Thumb. You would be surprised at the difference... totally different bass.

I just got the whole harness, prewired preamp for the number of holes in each bass. I went with the CB pickups (soaps) that fit the cavities in the bass. I had to chisel the radii square on the 305 to get the corners to clear on the pickups.

Well, for future Talkbassers.. I did find out from another forum that doesn't have so many "gurus" that like to talk down to the average person, that the noise I'm hearing is very common.
