Those lines won't be a problem. Rock on. Edit to add: The Fingerboard on those basses is a nice thick Slab. I highly doubt it would ever crack. That sharp angle is nice to keep the strings from buzzing at the nut. Especially the A string.

The Orange Terror 500 V2 is a monster. It can do deep, low, & Thumpy. It can do bright & grindy too. I was using one that was at my rehearsal space and it kept up with a loud Rock Drummer no problem. I loved it so much that bought one but it never got out of the house due to a work injury.
