    Best grunge bass player

I'll also jump on the DeLeo bandwagon, since not only does he come up with great lines that are melodically interesting and support the song, but he's also often singing harmonies while doing it live.

Hey Johnny, I like how you broke things down, and it sounds like a great way to outline some concepts to learn in order to internalize them more naturally when putting them into practice. I got to bass from guitar (yep, I'm one of those! :hiding: ), and you might be pass something like...

    OCTAVE PEDAL??

I actually find that the tracking on the Boss PS-3 is slightly off, and the pitched note had some glitchy digital artifacts. While I love that glitchiness for other things, I wouldn't recommend it for someone looking for an octave pedal that had good tracking. That said, that glitchiness...

    Suggestions for Delay/overdrive

From what I understand, those are solid choices, though I have no experience with any of those pedals. If you were more specific as to what you are looking to get out of them feature-wise and sonically, then it'd make us better equipped to help you out. The Ekko 600 is indeed lacking in...

    Ibanez Tonelok pedal appreciation thread.

The DE-7 gets a lot of praise from folks. In the "Echo" mode, it is extremely warm and responds very similarly to how an analogue delay would. The "Digital" mode is pretty good for standard clean repeats, but the "Echo" is what makes it special, IMO.

Pedal recommendations please (Phaser, Delay, poss. Overdrive)

Actually, you could go for a Diamond Memory Lane delay, which is truly analogue and has tap tempo, but is also a bit bigger, less common power requirement, and more expensive. If you really needed to go analogue for delay, then you could get an Arion SAD-1 or an older DOD delay for easily...

Nice board, FronTowardEnemy. How are you using the feedback looper exactly? I've thought about getting one at some point.

Pedal recommendations please (Phaser, Delay, poss. Overdrive)

You have a lot of different options, and everybody will have different opinions as to what will be best sonically and in terms of feature set. Here's mine: Delay: Line6 Echo-Park Pro's: Small size, inexpensive, sounds great (especially the tape modulation and analog-voiced settings), tap...
