    The Reverend Club (part 8)

Yup, it's a 32. My first "reduced" scale bass, all my basses have been 34 to 35. Have to say I like the ergonomics of it. With string through and reverse headstock regular strings fit her though. I put on super brights since I have flats on my Lull PT4. Played a full show last Friday in a very...

    The Reverend Club (part 8)

Been playing bass for around 40 years now, had Yamaha, Sadowsky Japan and USA, Lakeland, Lull, Fender, Music Man, G&L. Somewhere recently I saw a Reverend Mercalli and liked the looks and online samples so started looking for one. Then I ran into the Fatfish. I couldn't quit looking it up and...

    New Aguilar AG 700!

Zombie revival - Does anyone on here have any information about the comparison for the V1 against the V2 AG700? I know the basics about the 2 DI outs and other additions on the back etc., but does it sound and feel the same is what I am more curious about.

That looks like tons of fun right there.

    Pure Nickel Alchemists Union

Yup, pricey. Every now and then I will splurge on a set like that. Most strings I can get 8 months plus out of, if not a year, so if these are really good it's not a bad yearly price.

Just discovered this thread after buying a set of the GHS BN, which I have had before and liked. New bass guitar this time though, now on a Mike Lull PT4 with two Thunderbird pups. Really like the tone and playability, but now, as a result of reading Talkbass, I've had to order a set of the...

    Club Trickfish!

Last weekend I was able to try out the BH1k live. Medium size bar, we had PA support but I just decided to use the rig for house sound to check it out. Going into two 115 Bagends it was really, really good, plenty of headroom, got nowhere near pushing anything hard. We play a lot of female...

The thing I really love, is the feel. Tone is great no doubt, but it can give that slightly chewy feel to the notes while still having lots of definition. I assume this might be more noticeable at volume but haven't been able to do that yet.

Indeed, I've used the Minnow on two shows the first week I had it and it is a wonderful piece of kit. I am looking forward to the choice of 40hz or 80hz on the Bullhead, sometimes that 80 is just the ticket in certain rooms

I like this preamp so much I ordered a Bullhead 1k. It is so easy to setup a tone I really shoot for on this stuff.

This week I received my first Trickfish product. I purchased the Minnow - I run this setup as SadowskyNYC > Union LAB compressor > Minnow DI to board >1300watt power amp > BagEnd 115 x2 I really, really like what I am hearing so far, had one gig with it Sat night. I play mostly Countryish...

    Dogal Hellborg Strings

Played a show last night with the new rounds. I am not sure how I feel about them. From a touch/feel perspective I loved them, very flexible but they did not ever fart out even when playing hard (for me) - I was worried about that in a live situation as excitement sometimes changes things...

    Dogal Hellborg Strings

Received my set today, 4 string rounds installed on a Sadowsky jazz. I really like these so far practicing, drop D is no problem. They are bright without being shrill, kinda have a twang about them and seem focused in lower mids to my ear. Love the way the lower register is so clear...
