I play with a Fender Tube Pre and use that as a DI when I don't feel like bringing the cab and power amp or don't have the space in the truck to haul it (you can thank the drummer for all the space being eaten up with tubes filled with air). I have some Ampeg right now and have tried lots of it and am not the biggest fan. Good sound but a little too chirpy for me. Looking for a nice "natural" sound, if that makes sense.
