I think I was lucky enough to start on an origonal American made Fender P , didn't even know what the string names were and without YouTube and no internet , you taught yourself what you could , I was a legend in my own mind..
I started on a JD Brothers 4 string acoustic bass about five years ago. I then transitioned onto the Double Bass and have been playing both every day since ( even most Sundays too lol .)
