    so i opened up the pickup and noticed the white wire was two and was tied and taped with electrical tape. the black wire was also. Could this cause a weak conncetion/low output ? please help.

    replaced it yesterday.

    Do they ?? beacuse mine seems low output. when i compared it to all my other active basses ( no eqing at all on any bass) it was much quieter than all the others. hopefully othing is wrong with it. please help:help:
