    I got my first bass in 1968. Played ever since. Finally got proficient on fretless and still play fairly regularly between a few different band situations. Still love playing bass!

    Consider the Fender Rumble 800 combo. 400 stand-alone watts into 2-10s and 800 watts at 4 ohms w/ext cab. I’ve never needed an extension and it’s very full featured.

    Beautiful. That’s the first instrument I ever bought/owned. Got it in ‘68. That and a Kustom 100 amp. Played my first gig with it about 6 months later. Been playing ever since. I later traded to an EB-3 once I discovered solid bodies as I was kinda small at 16.
