The Few, the Proud, the Cowpokes. (official Fender Cowpoke club)

My Cowpoke has a bad paint job and it's time to fix that. It was originally black, but that has been changed. I could easily go back to black, but I'm not the biggest fan. What solid colors were available on the cowpokes other than black? I know I've seen the sunburst, a transparent red, and...

    Help me date this 810

Right on. Thanks Jimmy. That's what I was hoping to hear. The cab has bad tolex, so I could see right away it was plywood and bought based on that.

    Help me date this 810

Thanks for the interesting read. Seems like the cabs were pretty standard. Any opinions of how these 810s stack up to others? I think it sounds good, but it's my first 810. Shame he didn't have the matching head for sale.

I've never heard of Skunkworks SVT's. Do you have a link?

I should add that there are no rails on the back and it doesn't appear there ever were.

    Help me date this 810

So I picked up a SVT-810E for a relatively good price, but I'm having trouble dating it. I have not pulled any speakers yet. Images - It's a plywood cab with a single input. The serial number barely exists, which makes things challenging. The guy I bought it from got it 12 years ago in...

Bill Lawrence P-46 Pickup mini review (BEST P Pickup I've EVER tried)!

Got mine installed in my 2010 P (replaced a SPB-2), and I'm totally happy with it so far. I did do the push/pull pot for series/parallel switching, but I'm not sure it was worth it. We'll see once I rehearse with it.

    EMG-P With Harness

Older set of EMG-P pickups and the wiring harness. I had to clip the leads to the battery, but I can reconnect those before shipping if the buyer wants, free of charge. These are probably from 2001ish or so. They are in great shape and sound fantastic. Near drop in for your bass. $65...

Refreshing an Old Friend (MIM P-Bass rebuild/refinish)

Spent a little extra time today and did some swapping. I got a Bill Lawrence P-46 for my 2010 USA P-bass, so I took the SPB-2 that I had put in there out, and put it in this bass, removing the EMGs. The EMGs were neat, but I've had them for years and years. Add to that the fact that the bass...

Bill Lawrence P-46 Pickup mini review (BEST P Pickup I've EVER tried)!

Tracking numbers show my P-46 and my new bits for wiring showing up. I'm going to attempt to wire in a push/pull pot for parallel/series (with series being the default) switching. Does anyone have a diagram other than the one available through Bill's site? I've done this type of work...

    NBD - My First Five

The tuxedo, black on white look just wasn't working for me. I search around for what PG might fit, and most said the MIM 5 string "should" fit. Not finding what I wanted from Fender, I rolled the dice and ordered up a pick guard from Warmoth. It arrived yesterday and I finally got around to...
