Ok so a cold solder was the problem, I should have checked soldering before posting. This is a 2007 Mikro I got cheap off CL. Worked fine for a while, then the tone started acting up. I thought I'd remove the pots to check and my goodness, someone went happy with the soldering iron on this one...

That's basically where I'm at. I like the tone pots open for the most part, so this is no issue for me, but I eventually want the tone pot to do what it's supposed to. Thanks.
