Well, assuming we're all adults, or must of us, I'd like it if I was just helped, and given some feedback. Since there is already a thread on 'your least favorite bassist', you can vent there, and not here.

Why's that? People can't respect the music I like/want to play?

I opened my bass range to $300, I decided I want to play like the bassist in Korn, but also like the bass in other bands, Pantera, Metallica, Ext. Since I just expanded my range, I'm not sure what to look for.

Yeah, I made the thread mainly to get some reassurance on my decision, and to get some help on choosing a bass and amp.

I've decided to change my range to $300, and I want to mainly do Korn covers, but obviously have the choice to do other styles/bands.

More than likely I'm going to try the two basses I posted out at GC, since the reviews are mainly great, I'll just have to see which one I like the most. I'll do the same with the amp, I'll try them out at the store.

I'd like some feedback on these basses, once I get a bass, I'm going to decide on an amp.

I know, but then I explained my situation and opinions, I wanted to see if it's something I should pursue, and after some time of thinking about it, I still want to.

Alright, thanks for that list, I planned on trying them out at GC, but buying from somewhere else. And thanks, I'll go with a 4 string until I get use to it, and then see what I want to do.

If I were to buy new, what would you guys recommend? I'm open to getting a practice amp for now, but am also fine with some of the higher priced amps.. And as for bass, I'm still debating on a 4 or 5 string. If you have any recommendations, feel free to post em..
