Idk if you know this but the p bass is the industry standard. Its been used on more recordings than any other bass. Yes you are right that those basses shouldn't be compared to a p bass but im just telling you why people do it.
I just put jaco in the tag to maximize reach. I don't really want to sound like him, I want my own sound. Id say the sound im getting just lacks character if that makes sense. Just a very flat sound and im looking for something different.
Hey. So I have this fretless bass. It started out as a squier 70s classic vibe, now has a fretless fender neck, fender pickups and pots (i did all this before the strat wars) but I can't really get it to sound good. Was thinking of trying a new preamp or something. What do yall use?
