Any players just can't get into 5'ers?

I just switched to a 5'r and I'm far from used to it yet, but I love the tone and I already got to use it for something. We did a gospel bluegrass/country set last Sunday and I needed a low D under the G for that old country groove. Plus it looks cool. :p

When you pick up a bass off the rack at a music store to try out...

Pretty much anything I can think of from Rush.

Who likes playing disco bass lines? (cringe)

I'll admit, I loved disco as a kid(where's the roller rink?). It also kinda inspired me to play bass when it made it's comeback in the 90's. The first stuff I played was all disco. BTW, I love most of the Jamiroquai bass lines, especially the stuff on "Dynamite".

    How fast can you play?

About 191 mph. Four cylinder, looks fairly stock. Oh, we're talking about playing bass. :)

I suppose I should sign up for this club as well. Peavey Millennium 5-string.

If you Play Metal and Big Hair ( Posion, Ratt, Cinderella Etc)$ had a 1000 what Bass

I was playing that exact same bass but in a 5-string at GC. I really liked it but ended up getting a sweet deal on a Millennium instead. That's a nice bass, looks like a nice deal too.

To all Aspiring Jazz Musicians..... this guy is a sicko.

Well, I'm impressed. Probably more than any other thing I've seen on the internet.

Oh yeah, played it last night, it's like butter in my hands. It's as nice or nicer than anything I've ever played at the guitar stores. I'll have to tweak the string height and check intonation and stuff, but it plays beautifully with great tone, even through my little Laney practice amp. The...

    U.S. Peavey Club

I'll try it out when I get home, I had it delivered to my work so I didn't miss the delivery. It already feels really good, I love the thin neck and the satin maple finish.

Yeah, I noticed that just cleaning it up. It's done nicely and the paint is just perfect on this thing. I'm tickled.:hyper:

    U.S. Peavey Club

$315 shipped. I consider it a very good deal since I lost on a couple of four-strings Millenniums for slightly more. The description didn't specify if it was American made or not and when I asked, he said it was a BXP, but I could tell from the pics that it wasn't. I got lucky.

Finally got my Millennium 5-string today, bought it off Ebay a week ago. NOS, doesn't ever appear to be played, still has plastic on battery cover and not a scratch anywhere. Bonus is it came with the new Peavey gig bag, an extra set of strings and a nice leather strap. I'm really stoked about...
