U.S. Peavey Club

Anybody here interested in a cheap 5-string nickel set? I heard a guy play yesterday and his tone was clear, full, and piano-like. I asked him what kind of strings he was using and he told me they were Carvin nickels. I checked into them here on TB and people seem to think they're worth the money. I checked the Carvin site and they're made by LaBella.

They only cost $13 a set! The problem is that shipping is $11, but that goes for the whole order. If I could get four other guys interested we could order 5 sets and that would bring the cost down to $12.60 a set.

Interested?

Okay, folks. At this point we have at least six sets of strings going into this order from Carvin. Here's your chance to get some good strings at a great price. The more the merrier since it's splitting the shipping up quite a bit. It's $11 shipping for the whole order and I'm pretty sure I could then ship each set to their respective owners for around $.80. This would make a:

4-string set (nickel or stainless): $13 or less
5-string set (nickel or stainless): $16 or less
6-string set (nickel or stainless): $19 or less.

Here's the link to the Classifieds thread I started: Carvin String Order.

Just to be clear - I'm not making any money from this. I want a couple of sets of cheap, great sounding strings and want to split the shipping with others.

ok, so yes, I'm sure there is a Peavey Amp thread but I'm at work right now and wanna make this quick.

we just got a VB-2 in the store and I'll be taking it out tonight to do some tracking with. hopefully will have a full report tomorrow as to it's performance.

cheers!

P.S. I'm already subscribed, so I'll see it when you post, too. :)

Finally got my Millennium 5-string today, bought it off Ebay a week ago. NOS, doesn't ever appear to be played, still has plastic on battery cover and not a scratch anywhere. Bonus is it came with the new Peavey gig bag, an extra set of strings and a nice leather strap. I'm really stoked about this baby, I've only played 5'rs at Guitar Center for a few minutes. Time to bone up on it before Sunday morning. :bassist:

Sweet! Looks just like mine. What do you think about that sparkle in the black finish? I haven't figured out why it's there yet. You can't see it unless the bass is in bright white light and you're two feet away from it. that's ok because I'm not much of a sparkle guy anyway. Congrats on a nice bass.

Awesome! I just got my NOS M4 last week. What did you pay if I may ask?

How do you like it?

Now you can join the Black and Maple Club too!

$315 shipped. I consider it a very good deal since I lost on a couple of four-strings Millenniums for slightly more. The description didn't specify if it was American made or not and when I asked, he said it was a BXP, but I could tell from the pics that it wasn't. I got lucky.

Yeah, I noticed that just cleaning it up. It's done nicely and the paint is just perfect on this thing. I'm tickled.:hyper:
