What’s one thing you’ve done that you’re confident you’re the only person on TB to have done that?

Virtual beer gratefully accepted! The strangest thing of all? The Dali Lama is a FUNNY GUY .... great sense of humour and never stopped laughing.

What’s one thing you’ve done that you’re confident you’re the only person on TB to have done that?

This has got to be one of the most readable threads ever! I’ve never done anything truly worthy like donating a kidney or saving someone’s life using the heimlich maneuver, but here’s my contribution in no particular order: Helicoptered into Monte Carlo by moonlight Been introduced to the Dali...

Shipping my basses - thoughts please?

So from what I know/read ... pre 2017 instruments are exempt if you travel with them ... I may have to keep coming back.

Shipping my basses - thoughts please?

Hey all - so it looks like I may be relocating (back) to the UK ... a logistical nightmare but what’s keeping me awake nights are my babies - ranging from a ‘62 Violin to ‘65 Rick 4005 with a couple of P’s and J’s and White Falcon thrown in for good measure. I don’t feel that I can just stick...

What’s the first gig you went to?

Deep Purple - Royal Albert Hall, 1970. I’ll never forget the PA was made up of about 100 little Marshall cabs.

    Squier 70’s mod Jazz ....

So here’s the thing. The area where I live is currently suffering a mini-crimewave, neighbors are being broken into with stuff being taken. I’ve worked too long and too hard to let these low-life pieces of crap help themselves to my basses so I decided to put them all into storage -15 miles...

Another first for me while performing

Had some guy desperate to get up onstage to ‘make an announcement’ ... tried several times and each time we managed to deter him. Finally he gets up on stage gets to the mic and informs the audience that someone’s car in the parking lot has the roof down and it’s pouring with rain. It was my car.

    SOLD Feeler/advice/opinions? 1969 Fender Jazz

A little help would be greatly appreciated! So I have owned this bass for twenty years and we have covered thousands of miles together without any issue ever. Great sounding and I bought her in London on the understanding that she was a 1969, but have always had a niggling doubt. I’d really...

The best deal you've ever scored?

£95 for a ‘62 Hofner Violin ... it was 1979 tho’ ... been around the world together!

    SOLD Price drop - Warwick Thumb B/O 5’er $1300

Now $1300 including shipping to the 48. So a first-time seller (hope I got it right) here with a reluctant sale, but it seems something has to go ... She’s a 1998 bolt-on, all original, regularly waxed, currently strung with a low B. Brass frets are in great shape. The MEC logo on the pickups...
