It depends on the brand. Just Strings has GHS Balanced Nickels for $10 less than Amazon.
I bought my last set of strings from talkbass. The price was good and the service was great. How about talkbass.com
Do you get dinged with a border fee when they ship over here? I just ordered from there and opted to just ship to the US.(Guitar) Strings & Beyond is my supplier. They carry the strings I want and have good delivery. Would probably deliver even better if I didn't live in Canada and have that pesky border.
Talkbass might also be worth a try.

Stringsandbeyond.com.With BassStringsOnline being closed down at the moment, where is the next best place to get strings?
I know nobody else will have customer service or selection as great, but we can't be too picky that the best is taking a rest.
Quick shipping, competitive prices, and an easy-to-navigate website are a must IMO.
(Personally, I need a set of short scale strings for a modded Squier Bronco)
If you have a local music store near you it's always a good idea to do some business with them. They may not be the cheapest, but I like support small locally owned music stores when I can.

....but then you get to pay $7 for shipping.
