Without BSO, Where Do We Get Strings Now?

With BassStringsOnline being closed down at the moment, where is the next best place to get strings?

I know nobody else will have customer service or selection as great, but we can't be too picky that the best is taking a rest.

Quick shipping, competitive prices, and an easy-to-navigate website are a must IMO.

(Personally, I need a set of short scale strings for a modded Squier Bronco)

I have been getting mine from Musician's Friend, Sweetwater, Amazon and American Musical Supply. They always have what I want.... the prices are mostly very good and the shipping is fast. I have over 50 sets of strings sitting in my house from DR's to LaBlella to TI's. I have EB Group III flats, GHS Precision Flats..... I mean I have tons of stuff that is not just D'Addario and Ernie Ball. You can get most of what you like save singles and odd gauges.

Amazon is my go to now. I recently found a love for TI Jazz Flats and restrung three 5 strings and seven 4 strings all with TI's. You can get a 4 string set for $62 and a 5 string set for $87. That's WAAAYYYY cheaper than anywhere else I've ever found.

(Guitar) Strings & Beyond is my supplier. They carry the strings I want and have good delivery. Would probably deliver even better if I didn't live in Canada and have that pesky border.
Talkbass might also be worth a try.

I've been using [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] for years, off and on with Dean Markley's. I buy direct. For me, they sound great and last. YMMV

Ahh gotcha. During a normal summer, I can kill a set of rounds in one weekend of gigs. Which is Thursday-Sunday. Each gig 3-4 hours.

Do they have the same feel and basic tone as the flats??

I just went over to the TB Store and bought a set of DR Pure Blues! Decent price out of the gate, but they also offer 15% off for supporting members which would have been an even better deal for me had I noticed that before completing my order! Guess I will remember next time!
