Without BSO, Where Do We Get Strings Now?

With BassStringsOnline being closed down at the moment, where is the next best place to get strings?

I know nobody else will have customer service or selection as great, but we can't be too picky that the best is taking a rest.

Quick shipping, competitive prices, and an easy-to-navigate website are a must IMO.

(Personally, I need a set of short scale strings for a modded Squier Bronco)

Closed why?

My faveorite strings are disgustingly common and i use the same thing on all but one of my basses so i only keep a single spare set and when it gets pressed into service i just remember to pick up another set next time i’m by the nearest GC.
The only bass i use different strings on i get from an ebay seller i’ve been buying from for a long time. No local place stocks them (DR DDT) and Arkansas Music Works gives me a better price than GC and free shipping so when i get down to a single set i order three more, although it’s been a while since that particular bass is on semi permanent loan to a friend who is using it to teach his sister to play bass. I sent it over with four sets of strings and a note to let me know when they got down to one set, and last time i was over there they were still good so they are either buying their own or not changing them out much.

I've had good luck with Just Strings in the past. It's been years since I've ordered from them though but they have a really good selection. I've never had bad service with Musicians Friend and they usually have a good selection and good sales as well. i picked up a set of Dunlop Super Brights last week for $12? Plus free shipping.
Jason will be back! :)
Best wishes,
Brent

i don't play strings that are always that easy to find, but BSO had them all or could get them quickly. i use short scale strings, extra light strings, or even short scale extra light string. my favorite strings were so unpopular that la bella recently discontinued them :( but jason got me the last pack in existence.

i was looking for la bella nickel plated rounds extra light this morning and ended up special ordering them from sweetwater. TB store says they'll be carrying them and the rest of the la bella collection in a few weeks. i'll probably use a variety of string sellers for now.

jason has some life/work things to sort out and then he says BSO will be back, but it will be a while.
